Physical Therapy:

Immediate Part Time Position available in our outpatient clinic.

Position includes, but is not limited to:

  • Working in collaboration with Speech Language Pathologists, Occupational Therapists and Mental Health Counselors
  • Collaborating with interdisciplinary team to facilitate the optimum intervention plan and constant communication and dynamic assessment regarding best practices for the individual child
  • Completing client evaluations and developing treatment plans
  • Interviewing children and family members and using physical examinations to diagnose the source of children's movement difficulties.
  • Implementing direct client intervention within a 1:1 setting, small group and larger group environments in person or via teletherapy
  • Providing parent/caregiver education with grace and empathy
  • Creating unique, individualized treatment plans that outline the treatment goals and methods to be used.
  • Helping children to learn to move their bodies correctly, make their movements purposeful, and increase the functional use of body parts.
  • Assessing patients and monitoring their progress.
  • Using techniques like functional training and exercise, and specialized equipment that is designed to treat the client as a whole.
  • Coordinating a child's care with other healthcare professionals.
  • Teaching children and their families about safety and home exercises.
  • Completing daily notes, progress reports, and evaluations in a timely manner according to company policy.

Job Requirements:

  • A Master's or Doctorate of Physical Therapy.
  • CT state license to practice physical therapy.
  • Interest and/or specialization in pediatric physical therapy.
  • 1+ year pediatric experience is highly preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail, patience, and empathy.

LPC/LCSW/LMFT

Schedule: Monday-Saturday

Hours per week: 1-40

Schedule: Monday-Friday evenings and Saturday
