About Me: Graduating in 2004, I have been a practicing OT for over 15 years. I have had the opportunity to work in various settings with adults and adolescence. The majority of my experience has been in acute and subacute rehabilitation settings where I have had the opportunity to work with clients with various diagnoses including spinal cord injuries, traumatic brain injury, stroke, post surgical patients and orthopedic impairments. Throughout my time in these settings, I have gained experience in manual muscle techniques, splinting, taping techniques and knowledge in assistive technology and electrical stimulation programs. My favorite part of being an OT is finding creative and innovative approaches to help clients meet their goals and accomplish a greater quality of life. Raising 3 kids of my own and having many opportunities to work and volunteer in pre-school and elementary schools, I have had the privilege to learn first hand about child development and to support meaningful and motivational activities for kids to reach their greatest potential. I am so excited to be part of the Kid Sense team!
